Born in Ohio and raised in Myakka City, FL, I started my love of animals with our family puppy, Tara, a Doberman Pinscher. Soon after I got a breeding stock horse, Dallas who proved to be a lot of work and taught me responsibility.
In my junior year of high school, I got my first job as a kennel assistant. I quickly started learning technical skills and fell in love with the medical field. In 2002 I was given an American Bulldog puppy named Beau who became one of my BEST friends. Upon graduating high school in 2003, I moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida.
I quickly decided to pursue my Associates degree in Veterinary Technology, which I achieved at St. Petersburg College in the spring of 2012. After I earned my Certification with the state of Florida, I began pursuing my Bachelors degree of combined Clinical and Hospital Management.
I met Dr. Tyson through her relief work and started working at Four Paws upon opening in November 2007. I love spending time with pets everyday. I feel that making sure owners are educated on patient health and prevention is one of the most important parts of my job.
